DaDa is a Swiss DJ whose latest album, Winterreise, is a re-interpretation of Schubert’s classic song cycle. DaDa approached me to make a music video of the first track, Gute Nacht.
The video was filmed in a studio in Zurich, Switzerland, and I embedded the entire video within a Tesla tablet, filmed in B-roll. The final product is a music video in which DaDa is a narrator of his winter trip through the snowy mountains, which ended in a car accident.

Hi, I’m Don Daedalus, a New York City-based Motion Graphic Designer and Video Producer. I’ve made images move and shake in higher ed, non-profits, corporations, museums and online.
I grew up in a small town in Washington State, the son of a Vietnamese political refugee and delightful lady that I call every Sunday. I studied philosophy and interdisciplinary visual arts at the University of Washington, received an MFA in New Genres / Video from the San Francisco Art Institute and supplemented my formal studies with a Graphic Design Certificate from CalArts.
I’m an avid traveler and technical scuba diver. My writings can be found at LiveThriveDive.com and Medium. To escape the screen, I rebind rare books.
